INTELLIGENT ENERGY - EUROPE (IEE)
The Intelligent Energy – Europe programme is run by the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI) on behalf of the European Commission. It seeks to bridge the gap between EU policies and their impact on the ground, and works to make Europe more competitive and innovative while, at the same time, helping it to deliver its ambitious climate change objectives. By improving energy efficiency and encouraging the wider uptake of new and renewable energies, the IEE programme aims to boost actions which will help achieve the EU’s targets, including measures to foster energy efficiency and the rational use of energy resources, promote new and renewable energy sources and support the diversification of energy sources and promote energy efficiency and the use of new and renewable energy sources in transport such as biofuels.
